With the upturn in the energy and projects sector, the market-leading energy and projects team at CMS is now looking to grow strongly in Singapore.

About the role

Recognised as "by far the best firm in the energy sector" with a network of international offices, our dynamic team is highly rated and is continuing to expand. We have a very collegiate team whose working style as efficient, friendly and responsive.
As a member of the Energy, Projects and Construction team in Singapore you will work very closely with the Partners in the team and provide support on a broad range of complex, high value, and high profile transactions and projects for top tier clients within the oil and gas sector (upstream midstream and downstream), LNG Sector, Power and Renewables Sector and Infrastructure Sector across the APC and wider international region. 

About you

- Either England & Wales, Singapore or another Commonwealth qualified lawyer 
- Relevant legal training and qualification

- Strong interest in and experience of transactional, projects and/or construction work in the Energy (oil & gas, renewables, petrochemicals) and Infrastructure sectors, preferably in Asia-Pacific.  
- Projects & Infrastructure - familiarity with construction, PPP and concession documentation.  
- Project finance / LNG experience will be viewed favourably
- NQ - 5 UK PQE in international law firms or in-house within the APAC region or energy and projects legal centres

- Ability to translate legal theory into practical advice
- Works effectively with others in a team and at all levels and across all functions
- Good interpersonal and consultancy skills
