The CMS UK tax group is one of the three largest Tax teams in the City of London, with 14 partners and 20 associates. 


About the role

The group advises clients of all kinds, particularly across the combined firm’s chosen sectors. We act for listed entities, private companies, PE houses, W&I insurers, funds, start-ups, management teams and private individuals and cover all taxes, both direct and indirect, and in both contentious and non-contentious situations. The work we perform is a healthy mix of transactional and advisory and we pride ourselves on being able to use our technical expertise and commercial acumen to find pragmatic solutions that meet our clients’ needs. 


About you

We are looking for an Associate between 1-3PQE. 
Given the wide variety of work performed in the tax team, there is an opportunity to work in a multitude of areas. 
Candidates will need to be technically excellent (having trained at a well-regarded firm), ambitious and driven, commercially astute and good communicators.
