About the roles

These roles act as a great opportunity for you to gain an understanding of how CMS works, to build relationships and to understand the key drivers that really matter to clients. You will get the chance to work with teams in all of our offices with many members of staff across both legal and business teams.  

We currently have opportunities for future trainees in two roles within our Business Development team: a Pitch Assistant and a Client Service Assistant. 
These roles are to join us for a period of 6-12 months. If you have completed your studies and find yourself available for work then these are the ideal roles for you to kick start your career.

Pitch Assistant: Working as part of the New Business team on the firm’s most important strategic pitches with partners from across the firm and international offices. In practice this means helping to craft compelling proposals that help win more work from new and existing clients at profitable levels. 

Client Management Assistant: Working as part of the Client Management team to support a number of the firm’s strategic key accounts in the management and further development of the client relationship. The role will also involve developing areas of the firm’s innovative client engagement strategy.

About you

You will hold a degree or equivalent and ideally have secured a Training Contract. You may have experience of working within a legal or professional services environment.

We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals with a strong academic background. You will have a keen eye for detail with the ability to use your initiative whilst working on multiple tasks. You will have excellent organisational and time management skills and the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines. Exceptional communication, verbal and written skills are necessary, as is the ability to work well in a team.
