We are seeking a talented Corporate lawyer with approximately two years of post-qualification experience to join our Prague office. This is an exceptional opportunity to become part of a globally recognised firm, advising on a wide range of complex legal matters, including international and cross-border transactions.

About the role

An International corporate lawyer working from CMS Prague office on cross border transactions across Central and Eastern Europe, providing support to the Transactions team across the CEE region and various industries and clients. 
In this role you will work with a diverse and impressive list of high-profile clients requiring you to give well founded advice on a broad range of complex corporate issues, including M&A. 

Key responsibilities 
-    Mergers and Acquisitions, Private Equity 
-    Legal due diligence investigations during cross-border transactions
-    Provide efficient professional support to senior lawyers and partners 
-    Manage, co-ordinate and supervise the work of others including trainees
-    Support the wider team in developing business and raising the profile of the firm 
-    Develop professional client relationships 
-    Involvement in marketing events 

About you

We will invest in your ongoing training and development to support your professional goals and help you to thrive in your role from day one. Our opportunities are open to all suitably qualified applicants, so to be considered for this role, you must meet the following skills and experience:

-   Law degree (Australian or English law qualified is an advantage but not must) – 2-3 years post qualified

-   Working knowledge of business and corporate law

-   Experience in private M&A, including the drafting of SPAs and other transactional documents

-   Experience in carrying out due diligence and preparing due diligence reports

-   Good project management skills

-   Ideally worked for a top tier firm, national mid-tier firm or reputable boutique firm

-   Experience in large transactions, experience with cross border transactions is an advantage

-   Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Fluency in another language is an advantage, but not essential

-   Possess a global mindset and is a fast and enthusiastic learner

-   Detail oriented with the ability to prioritise multiple requests and deadlines

-   Team-player with good communication and interpersonal skills
