As a member of the Early Talent Development team you will achieve the highest standards of talent development and pastoral care for the early careers population.

About the role

Reporting to the Early Talent Development Manager, you will be responsible for the current and future trainees and apprentices, ensuring they are engaged with the business prior joining and all their employee needs are taken care of during their 2 year contract.
The duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting trainees and apprentices with developing their career in the firm and progressing to qualification.
- Addressing trainees and apprentices concerns or employee relations matters arising during their training contract and advising the partnership on trainee related queries and concerns. 
- Working closely with the Early Talent Acquisition team to ensure a seamless progress from campus to the firm. 
- Liaising with stakeholders (partners and office managers) for all trainee secondments to clients and non-UK offices, including obtaining with the relevant approvals, management of the logistics, recommendations and obtaining feedback. 
- Planning and organising the six-monthly departmental rotations in line with trainee and firm-wise demands. 
- Supporting the Early Talent Development Manager when advising partners on trainee numbers and allocating trainees across groups based on utilisation and firm needs. 
- Supporting the Early Talent Development Manager on the bi-annual qualification process.
- Planning, attending and facilitating the induction for new trainees. 
- Working with colleagues to drive innovation and continuous improvement across the HR function. 
- Working closely with our preferred legal education provider to ensure that the compulsory and optional training needs/courses are completed for our trainees and apprentices. 

About you

To meet the demands of the role you will have the following skills:
- Good HR technical skills, able to manage a wide range of situations. 
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage a large workload.
- Good understanding of the England & Wales and Scotland qualifications process. 
- Effective networkers, good at building and maintaining relationships both internally and externally. 
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
- Proactive customer service focus.
