We are looking for a Junior Facilities Manager to join our Manchester office! 

The Junior Facilities Manager will have overall responsibility for managing and overseeing the workload of the Facilities team in Manchester to ensure that the office is run professionally and efficiently.  They will be the lead person for the local Facilities team and this role will require outstanding teamwork, relationship building and communication skills.

About the Role


•    Demonstrate strong leadership and management skills
•    Management of multi-disciplinary team comprising Facilities and Reception services 
•    Constantly develop skills that enable the team to produce work efficiently and cost effectively
•    In support of the Facilities Management team, identify and execute strategies for developing and enhancing relationships with stakeholders
•    Management of all 3rd party providers and sub-contractors 
•    Management awareness of systems (CCTV, Access Systems etc.).
•    Management of maintenance contractors ensuring 
o    compliance with all relevant H&S and environmental legislation
o    PPMs are up to date and SLAs are met, for both reactive and planned maintenance
o    fire safety systems are compliant with regulations and insurance requirements
o    all contractors and suppliers provide economical and efficient solutions
o    all contractors adhere to policies and procedures
•    Constantly review programmes for building and maintenance services
•    Working closely with H&S Team, being the H&S responsible person for the office
•    Local budget awareness

About You

 

•    Knowledge of facilities
•    Awareness of mechanical services within building services
•    Proven working knowledge of risk assessments
•    Evidence of up-to-date knowledge of legislative changes
•    Leadership qualities but also a team player
•    self-motivated with the ability to guide your team to produce results

•    Highly organised
•    Able to communicate at all levels; able to translate technical terms into layman’s terms
•    Strong client care/service skills
•    High level of attention to detail
•    Proactive approach to work situations
•    Good general management skills
•    Responsive to changing environments
•    Risk awareness
•    Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills
•    The ability to develop innovative solutions to problems
•    Working knowledge of BMS systems

Experience and Qualifications
•    Experience of managing a team essential
•    Degree or experience in facilities and building management
•    Experience of managing projects
•    Managing budgets
•    Relevant health and safety qualifications. (desirable)
•    Competencies – Work Level 3
