About the role
The role is responsible for designing and building applications using the OutSystems platform. This person works closely with Business Support Management, Subject matter experts, Legal Teams, Product Owners, and others to architect, design, develop, and test web/mobile Business applications that are internal and/or externally accessible using the OutSystems platform.
 
Key internal relationships:  Heads of Functions, SME’s Practice Group Management, Senior Management, IT and Finance Systems Teams.
Reports to: Head of Change and Transformation.
 
Team : Change and Transformation
 
Sub Team: Applications Design and Development
 
Context: The Applications Development team forms part of the Change and Transformation team, which is broadly split into four areas :
 
1.     The Change Team which takes accountability for the business change, planning, deployment, and communications of new initiatives, as well as working on continuous improvement activities around existing processes, tools and applications. 
 
2.     The Applications Design and Development Team, which works with the Business to Design and Develop internal and externally facing applications that support both firm strategy and operational goals. These will cover all aspects of the business and range from applications that support client service – such as real time matter reporting, to internal efficiencies such as personal performance dashboards and key initiatives such as Modus.
 
3.     The Project and Change Training Team, which takes responsibility for training requirements identification on projects, develops the training approach, materials, courses, and then ensures that the Applications training team is fully equipped to roll this training out to the business as needed.
 
4.     The Applications Training Team which supports the Change and Projects Training   teams in the above by delivering Project training, CI training and trainee and work experience training, as well as taking accountability for BAU Training, BAU training materials (including e-learning), and regular induction training. The objective of this team is to ensure that all users are fully trained and equipped to work as effectively, productively and hence profitably as possible.


About you

The ideal candidate will be trained in the OutSystems Platform for the development of web and mobile applications but this is not essential. You will be willing to solely develop using the OutSystems platform.

You will:
- Be experienced in UI/UX design.

- Have capacity to architect business and technology solutions.

- Have experience with finding creative solutions, juggling multiple concurrent projects, releasing rapidly, and producing elegant, customer-centric applications.

- Have applied knowledge and participation in full life cycle development.

- Posess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
