We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our Band 1 Funds & Indirect Real Assets team.

About the role

Are you looking to be part of a next generation Funds & Indirect Real Assets team?

This opportunity would suit those looking to get involved in this exciting, challenging and specialist area of law. You will work as part of a team to enhance and further grow the business from its existing well established and solid foundations. You will work in a dynamic and innovative team. You will have the opportunity from day one to work on market leading transactions with well-known and sector leading clients on an international basis with colleagues across the firm and the CMS international network. The work focuses on a variety of sectors with a focus on real estate, infrastructure and private equity. Working closely with partners highly regarded in this field you will have the opportunity to progress quickly and gain in depth knowledge in this sector including in the following areas:
- UK and international private fund establishments across real estate, infrastructure, private equity, venture capital and debt
- Advising leading UK and international investors on their fund investment program
- UK and international joint ventures and club deals
- Corporatised sales and acquisitions
- General advisory work in conjunction with our regulatory and tax teams

About you

To meet the demands of these roles you will ideally have hands on Corporate and/or funds experience, as wel as:

- Solid academic background
- Have trained and have experience in a leading national or international firm
- A can do approach
- Strong technical ability and knowledge of applicable law and regulation
- An enthusiasm for marketing and business development
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build and maintain client relationships
- You will work across a number of different disciplines within the team and therefore should be versatile and interested in developing a broad skill base
